Key terms and conditions of employment
A. Hours of work
You agree to work on a permanent full-time basis from 9:00AM – 5:00PM Mondays to
Fridays starting on
(start date)
and to take no more than (60) minutes in
recreational breaks during any 8-hour work shift. You can decide to work remotely, hybrid, or onsite (your choice), your reporting address will either be to our Birmingham Hill Street, Manchester Piccadilly, London, or Canary Wharf locations.
B. Lateness
If you are going to be more than (10) minutes late on any workday you agree to notify the HR Director accordingly by phone or email as soon as possible but at the very latest (30) minutes before you have been scheduled to report for work.
C. Compensation and perks
Compensation of £
(wages)
per year will be subject to national insurance,
and income tax deductions, and will be paid to you on a monthly basis. We agree to add 3% to your gross wages as a personal pension allowance, and to increase your compensation by an amount equal to 3-5% after successfully completing the probation period of Ninety (90) days.
We also agree to provide you with a monthly GYM pass which you agree to use at least twice each month to keep.
D. Dress
You agree to dress on a business casual basis while working on our behalf or as otherwise directed by us from time to time.
E. Communication devices
You agree to use only our approved communication devices, for example, laptops, phones, email accounts, and templates assigned to you for use while working on our behalf.
F. Work equipment
We agree to use our best efforts to provide you with a laptop unit, and work phone by your start date to perform your duties. You agree to take reasonable care of all equipment issued to you by us and to return our equipment to us upon termination of your employment. All equipment issued to you will be fully insured by us against loss, theft, or damage.
G. Expenses
We agree to reimburse you for any work-related expenses which you incur while working. We also agree to pay to you the amount of £120.00 for every month that you work on a fully remote basis.
H. Holiday entitlement
Your holiday entitlement will be (30) paid days each year. Your holidays or pay in lieu of holidays must be taken between January 1, and December 31, of each year as they cannot be carried over to a new year. Bank holidays will be deducted from your total holiday allowance. In addition to your holiday allowance, you will be permitted to take (4) days off each year from work duties with pay for any reason.
I. Sick leave
If you are ill and unable to attend work you should inform us as soon as possible to enable alternative arrangements to be made. You are permitted (5) sick days each year with full compensation.
You will be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) on production of a Statement of Sickness (form SC2) which must be completed for sick leave of more than three days or a medical certificate for sick leave of more than (7) days.
J. Termination of employment
Either party is required to give the other Party (7) days’ notice for contract termination during the period of probation. Once the probation period ends, either party is required to give the other party (30) days’ notice for contract termination.
We have a zero tolerance for breaching this contract and any of the policies and procedures. We reserve the right to terminate this contract without notice in cases of serious breach of the terms of your employment, gross misconduct or gross negligence by you. Gross misconduct is defined as theft, assault of staff member, sexual harassment, misrepresentation, or falsifying information.
K. Confidentiality
While this contract is effective you agree not to divulge any confidential information of ours to any third party, and to handle our confidential material in accordance with the Data protection Act of 1998, and also not to bribe, or attempt to bribe, or accept a bribe from any person, intending either to obtain or retain business for us, or to obtain or retain an advantage for themselves or for us in any manner whatsoever.
L. Grievance procedure
If you should ever have an issue in relation to any policy of ours, you agree to file a grievance with us, and if still unsatisfied to make a request for early conciliation service with ACAS (0300123 1150) or with Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB). You also agree that you will not seek ACAS or CAB assistance until you first exhaust our administrative remedy system by filing a grievance. Both you and we agree that any decision reached with ACAS or CAB assistance will be binding and final.
M. This contract
This contract once signed, only becomes valid if its quality certification requirements are fulfilled in clause (G) above.
You agree that although you have had an opportunity to visit our website, that you have not relied upon it or any other marketing materials in making your decision to sign this contract. You also agree that this contract cancels, replaces, and supersedes all prior agreements verbal or written, and shall be binding upon you and shall inure to the benefit of your and our successors and assigns, Governed by U.K. laws.
